Leave your mark

your pyrrhic victory
a shameful loss
hearts you claimed
at greedy costs

pleading souls
cried in terror
resonating corridor
prism shattered mirrors

jagged crimson rock
stark stygian halls
love story scripted
edit scaled walls

Awesome. I like how you leave the possibility open for change at the end. “Prism shattered mirror” is my favorite image among many great lines. Enjoyed 🙂 Cheers

The scope is personal, yet ambitious, intimate yet universal. It is intriguing how you found a unique voice to project those thoughts.

I love this poem – the words are crunchy and cut my tongue, as intended.
